New York: The Standard

October 2009
This weekend I realized that life is not going to slow down anytime soon, so I’m trying to accept the craziness I currently live in. At least I left the sorrows of September in October’s wake — I’ve been riding high ever since.
That said, the sea of photos in which I am swimming gets deeper by the day. I returned from NYC with nearly 1700 new fish to fry! Undeterred, I am working through them, happy to relive an amazing weekend away.
So…. I totally loved New York. I knew I would. I can’t wait to go back and take it all in. But right now, I’m trying to figure out how I can move there. Anyone want to hire me?
Unfortunately, I can’t share the wedding photos yet, as my bride and groom are still honeymooning in Africa, but I can show you my awesome hotel room. We stayed at The Standard and I loved it! I only wish I’d taken more photos, especially of the entrance and the lobby – but these will have to suffice.
As you can see, it was anything but standard…
14th floor. Corner room. Ceiling to floor windows with amazing city and river views. A peep show shower with gigantic bathtub. Kiss My Face bath products. The most comfy bed and bedding ever. And a minibar like you’ve never seen before (Take my word, I forgot to take a pic of it!) Highly recommended. A+
